San Francisco Piano Lessons
JEFF TEACHES JAZZ AND BLUES PIANO LESSONS IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, at his studio, in classrooms or private homes. His style is perfect for both beginners as well as musicians looking to break out of their classical training.
Here is his educational philosophy:---Music is fun---Every instrument is a drum---First comes the music, then the chartYou can play it if you mean it and if you feel it you'll mean it. You just have to pay your dues: Practice, Listen, Work.Email: jefforchardjazz@gmail.com
You're listening to me playing a Luis Bonfa tune, "Manha de Carnaval."
My father, Frank Orchard, was a featured trombonist at Jimmy Ryan's on 52nd Street, and is listed in this publicity poster, as is clarinetist Edmond Hall. I later played at Ryan's with Edmond Hall's brother, Herb, also a great clarinetist. Edmond Hall is pictured above with his horn as a young man in 1920 New Orleans.
